Laboratory of Environmental Chemometrics is QSAR Lab's direct scientific and personal base, and its employees are the core of the company's team. Currently the team headed by Tomasz Puzyn, Ph.D. D.Sc. Associate Professor brings together 16 researchers and Ph.D. students. The Laboratory focuses on the development of advanced methods of chemometrics, statistics and chemoinformatics in the field of environmental and human health protection. One of the main tools used and developed by the team is Quantitative Structure-Property/Activity Relationship (QSPR/QSAR) modeling. This method, originally created for designing new drugs, became nowadays very useful in the process of human and environmental risk assessment performed for new chemicals. Laboratory of Environmental Chemometrics is one of the world's best scientific teams dealing with the risk assessment of nanoparticles based on computational methods.
Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine is a public research institution dealing with public and environmental health. The Department of Toxicology and Carcinogenesis, within the Institute, is the first unit in Poland that has been granted the status of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) for basic cytotoxicity and genotoxicity / mutagenicity by using in vitro tests, histopathological, chemical and biochemical studies. With its extremely rich equipment base and highly qualified staff, QSAR Lab can benefit from the Department's support in the field of assessment of toxic effects of chemical substances and physical factors in in vivo and in vitro studies using the latest techniques of molecular and cytogenetic biology.
Technology Transfer Centre of University of Gdansk (UG) is a unit of the University of Gdansk, which promotes the cooperation between science and business, search for innovative technologies and solutions, as well as help in the commercialization process of research results of UG employees. TechTransBalt is a commercial law company established by the University of Gdańsk for providing such services as indirect commercialization, primarily by taking up shares in capital companies such as spin-offs. TechTransBalt is a co-owner of QSAR Lab. Our company benefits from the invaluable support of CTT and TechTransBalt primarily in terms of establishing contacts with potential clients and investors and promoting the company's activities.
Isotop is an advisory company supporting companies from the chemical industry in fulfilling obligations under the REACH Regulation, Safety Data Sheets and CLP (GHS). Conducts REACH audits for chemicals related companies in fulfilling the obligations imposed by the REACH, CLP and national regulations on chemicals and their mixtures. By working with ISOtop, we are able to offer our customers not only the support in designing and conducting testing procedures for toxicity and risk assessment of new chemicals, but also full registration of chemicals in accordance with REACH and other regulatory requirements.
