Anita Sosnowska<br \/><strong>Aim of <span style=\"color: #008000;\">UPRISE: <br \/><\/span><\/strong>The Project will describe the complex mechanism which is responsible for the disruption of the potential for normal fetal development leading to an increased risk of adverse birth outcomes (ABOs), caused by air pollution, particularly ultrafine particles (UFPs) and micronanoplastics (MNPs).<\/p><p>The outcome of the UPRISE work will be the development of an exposure databases and assessment models for emerging pollutants considering different exposure scenarios. This step gives the opportunity to broader understanding of the analyzed chemicals sources, concentrations and dispersion patterns.<\/p><p>Importantly, UPRISE will include also a clinical study (pregnant participants exposed to different levels of UFPs and MNPs pollution to analyse possible modes of action leading to ABO). The results of transcriptomic, epigenetic or mitochondrial mutational analysis will be used to identify key events (KE), including molecular initiating events (MIEs). Anita Sosnowska<br \/><strong>Aim of <span style=\"color: #008000;\">PLANETS: <br \/><\/span><\/strong>The Project will demonstrate the SSbD approach's applicability for the technical development of alternatives to the 3 most important classes of compounds in the chemical industry - plasticizers, flame retardants and surfactants - at TRL6 and their integration into widely available consumer goods at TRL7. The new molecules and products will be significantly safer for workers and consumers, will have a significantly lower environmental impact, while ensuring economic viability and social awareness in the 3 value chains. The guiding principle will be to eliminate hazardous substances by choosing safer alternatives and\/or redesigning production processes to minimize the formation of hazardous substances. measurable effects of the project include new:<\/p><ul><li>reporting of industrial property items;<\/li><li>granted exclusive rights to industrial property items;<\/li><li>concluded license agreements regarding intellectual property rights;<\/li><li>concluded agreements regarding the transfer of intellectual property rights;<\/li><li>internal regulations implemented in the company regarding the protection and management of intellectual property;<\/li><li>contracts concluded with employees of the enterprise, containing clauses regarding intellectual property;<\/li><li>other instruments, such
