QSAR Lab is a B+R company, whose founders are scientists at the Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdansk. World-renowned specialist in the field of chemoinformatics and environmental chemistry, co-author of fundamentals of computational nanotoxicology. Since 2008 he has been managing the Laboratory of Environmental Chemometrics he created. Current research concerns the development of chemoinformatic methods for the design of nanomaterials and ionic liquids as well as an assessment of risk they may pose for human health and environment.
Prof. Puzyn is the author of over 120 scientific papers, including publications in leading journals (e.g. Nature Nanotechnology, Green Chemistry), with a total IF of over 440, and an editor of 5 books published worldwide. He gave over 20 invited talks abroad. His works have been cited more than 2’000 times and the Hirsch index is 28. He is an active member of the EU NanoSafety Cluster: coordinator of 2 projects implemented in the FP7 framework and a member of 5 HORIZON 2020 projects consortia. He cooperates with over 50 institutions from around the world. Laureate of the scholarship of the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science, 3 FNP programs, MNiSW scholarship and the Polish Prime Minister's award for the postdoctoral achievement.
Prof. Puzyn has promoted three doctors and his students receive prestigious awards and scholarships (including L'Oreal, MNiSW).
In the QSAR Lab Ltd. spin-off company, professor Puzyn acts as CEO and Scientific Director, being reponsible primarily for the operation of the Company in the area of research and development and for the scientific supervision of carried out services.

He has Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate, the most recognized certificate in the field of project management issued by Project Management Institute - an international institute associating project managers and PRINCE2 Foundation certificate.
He prepared dozens of applications for subsidies from national funds (Operational Program Innovative Economy, national funds of the National Center for Research and Development) and foreign funds (EU 7th Framework Programme, Horizon 2020), acquiring over 150 million PLN.
In the QSAR Lab Ltd. spin-off company, Pawel Bajurski acts as CFO and Managing Director. He is primarily responsible for its business function: organizational, sales and financial aspects.
Dr. Karolina Jagiello works as an Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Environmental Chemometrics at Faculty of Chemistry at University of Gdansk, Poland. She specialize in data analysis and chemoinformatics, with particular emphasis on development and application of efficient computational methods for designing new chemicals (mainly pharmaceuticals and biomatrials). Computational methods might be interesting not only because they are faster and less inexpensive than the extensive experimental studies, but their use also leads to the reduction of animal testing (ethical and company image).
Dr. Jagiello is the author of the research publications in the fields of chemistry and environmental risk assessment in leading international journals (e.g. Environmental Software and Modelling, Environmental Science & Technology) and author of several chapters in books. Dr. Jagiello was on the 2 post-doctoral internships in Japan (National Institute for Environmental Studies) and 1 post-doctoral internship in USA (Jackson State University). She participates in the implementation of two research grants funded by the European Commission and one founded by the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Works as an Assistant Professor in at the University of Gdansk, Poland, Laboratory of Environmental Chemometrics at Faculty of Chemistry. Her research work is based on the development and use of the computational methods to assess the risk to the environment and human health posed by new chemicals (mainly ionic liquids and pharmaceuticals). She has experience in the application of chemometric methods for data analysis, QSAR/QSPR modeling for estimating the relationship between chemical structure of compound and activity/physicochemical properties as well as in the application of statistical/chemometric methods for experimental optimization.
Dr. Sosnowska is the author of the research publications in the fields of chemistry and environmental risk assessment in leading international journals (e.g. Green Chemistry, Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials), author of several chapters in books and more than 40 oral and poster presentations presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Sosnowska was on the 2 post-doctoral internships in Japan (National Institute for Environmental Studies). She participates in the implementation of three research grants funded by the National Science Centre, the Swiss Contribution - Polish-Swiss Research Programee and the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

Dr. Mikolajczyk is the main author or co-author of 20 full research papers for peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter (i.e. Applied Catalysis B: Environment, Chemistry of Materials, Nanoscale, Environmental Science: Nano, Nanotoxicology, Applied Surface science, ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engeeniering). Dr. Mikolajczyk is the leader of the international project under Horizon2020 (NanoInformaTIX) and project from National Science Center (Preludium 10). She participates in the implementation of two grants the EU 7th Framework Programme (NanoBRIDGES and NanoPUZZLES), 10 projects funded by National Science Center and the Polish Academy of Sciences. Dr. Mikolajczyk was on the 7 doctoral and post-doctoral internships in USA (Jackson State University, North Dakota University) and Ecuador (Yachay Tech University).
She is also the winner of many prestigious national and international awards, e.g.: award funded by Polish Chemical Society for best PhD Thesis defended in 2017; award from National Polish Center by best scientific paper published in 2017 in science; individual scholarship awarded by Rector of University of Gdansk, award for the best presentation during the International Symposium on Computational Methods in Toxicology and Pharmacology Integrating Internet Resources 2018 (Goa, India), the 8th International Nanotoxicology Congress 2016 Boston (USA), the 7th International Nanotoxicology Congress 2014 Antalya (Turkey), a scholarship for outstanding PhD students at University of Gdansk.

He was involved in the research and coordination of the research group participating in the EU H2020 project – NanoREG2, in which he was focused on development of innovative grouping and categorization approaches for hazard assessment of manufactured nanomaterials. He currently participates in several research grants under the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme.
is a Project Manager responsible for the coordination of projects and processes. She completed post-graduate studies in the field of personnel management, project management and EU funds. Responsible for optimizing projects’ processes (planning and implementation) and strengthening the key success factors at the stage of obtaining external financing.
Author of many projects for business clients, consultant with 12 years of experience supporting in the process of creating and planning the project and obtaining external financing for its implementation. She prepared dozens of applications for subsidies from national funds (OP IE, NCBiR funds) and foreign funds (FP7, H2020), raising in total funds worth over PLN 80 million.
Specialist in the field of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), as a member of the Team for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Ministry of Economy, as also member of accredited Polish Agency for Enterprise Development – PARP’s advisors.
Within the QSAR Lab, Anna is responsible for the coordination of projects being carried out as the Project Office Manager.
Project Manager with 8 years of experience in implementation of regional, innovative projects as well as international partner projects. She has great organizational skills and the ability to manage diverse project teams. It's all thanks to the experience of working as an inspector and project manager in such organizations as: Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, InnoBaltica Sp. z o.o., Trigonum Sp. z o.o. and participation in numerous Polish and foreign studies (undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate in the fields of economics, management and marketing, accounting and finance, economic and monetary union) and courses and training, as part of classes at the University of Gdańsk, the National Bank of Poland, the French business school l'IPAG in Nice.
Within QSAR Lab, Karolina Malek deals in internal company processes including contracting and settlement of projects, mainly financed from Programme Horizon 2020, implementation of the internship students program and employment.
For over 5 years professionally related with marketing and sales. She completed numerous courses substantively complementing her experience for example managerial skills course, Google Adwords and Analytics course. She has very well-developed communication, organizational and negotiation skills.
Biotechnologist. She was on the six-month internship in France (Université de Reims Champagne Ardennes), where she has studied the activity of the DDR1 receptor.
Within the QSAR Lab, Karolina Płonka is responsible for the popularization of R&D projects, PR, identification of the company, entire customer service (offer, negotiations) and all marketing activities.
