Scientists at QSAR Lab have signed agreement for an international collaborative grant to develop novel cutting-edge tests to prevent the use of animals when assessing safety concerns surrounding nanotechnology.
Nanotechnology is a field which could greatly enhance crucial aspects of our lives pending proper investigation into associated risks.
The grant has been awarded as part of the Horizon2020 scheme, the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever, with nearly €80 billion of funding available over seven years (2014 to 2020).
QSAR Lab was represented by two Members of the Board, by Prof. Tomasz Puzyn – President of the Board, Scientific Director and Mr. Paweł Bajurski – Vice-President of the Board, Chief Financial Officer on Brokerage Event, which took place in Munich on 16th November 2017.
On Novmber 29, 2017 the winner of this year\'s award for the best master\'s thesis based on the methods of computer chemistry performed at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdansk was announced – Mr Jakub Brzeski. Congratulations to the winner.

EU partnership proposals under the Horizon 2020 Program, "NanoBio" in the NMBP-12-2017 competition - Description of a methodology for better risk management in the field of biomaterial engineering in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products and / or Medical Devices and PATROLS under the NMBP -29-2017 - Advanced models and tests concerning threats of nanomaterials passed the first stage of the above mentioned competitions.
